Commissioned by WaterAid to highlight 10 years since water was declared a human right by the UN. Constant ritual was inspired by the constant reminders and NHS step by step guide to wash hands during the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic of 2020.

The work discusses the sanctity of water in respect to ritual and cleansing within ancestral and indigenous practices, whether it be the cleaning of a new born child or cleansing to wash away spirits. Access to clean water in relation to ancestral practice and cultural customs is often overlooked, by using our largest connecting source, the sea – a practice is formed.
